British Actress, music artist and LGBTI campaigner Heather Peace recently took a little bit of time out to have her twins but made a triumphant return to the stage by supporting friend, Alison Moyet on her most recent sold-out tour. Now wanting to get back to performing her own live shows and after a four year absence, Heather will be returning to Australia and performing in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in March 2018.

Having learned to sing in church and play piano when she was just five years old, Heather then took up the guitar as a teenager. She paid her way through drama school with a Jazz residency in bars and had a brief fling with the charts in her early 20’s signing with music mogul Simon Cowell. But as her acting career soared and the realities of miming on TV shows and being told what to wear and sing by her record label began to take its toll, she put her professional music career on hold.

She continued to play small gigs mainly for friends and family but then came the massive success of her role as DS Sam Murray in BBC’s cult hit, Lip Service and she suddenly found her gigs were packed with new fans.

Her debut album, Fairytales (Nigel Wright) entered the UK Independent Album Charts at number 7 in 2012 and its melancholy beauty coupled with her incredible live vocals on tour steadily built up a loyal, passionate fanbase.

In 2014, Heather released her second and biggest album to date, The Thin Line (James Lewis – Arctic Monkeys, Sunset Suns, Rudimental), which entered the UK Independent Album Charts top ten. The lead single from The Thin LineWe Can Change was played on local and national radio stations throughout the UK and was featured as the ‘Uncharted Territory’ track of the week on the UK’s biggest radio station, BBC Radio 2.

Since then, Heather has performed numerous sold-out UK tours with her full band as well as solo acoustic tours. She’s headlined London Pride, played shows with KT Tunstall, Rebecca Ferguson, Deacon Blue, The Cuban Brothers and Brian May

Having twice sold out tours across Australia as well as headlining the world famous Sydney Mardi Gras, Heather can’t wait to get back to Australia:

"I'm thrilled to be able to come to Australia again. I love the place and the people so much and feel lucky to have the opportunity to play a few shows once more. The support in Australia was fantastic the last time I was out so to be able to come back is super exciting. I'm also up for an Australian LGBT award, which I'm so grateful for as it's given me this opportunity. I'm not for one second expecting to win but just being there on the night is going to be a total honour."

Come Home Heather’s most recent EP was her most upbeat and fun record to date. A record made up of inescapably catchy beats, funky bass lines and infectious arrangements. The lead single Lightbulb got top playlist across various commercial radio stations and was one of the most requested tracks on the month of it’s release, on Britain’s number one LGBT radio station, Gaydio.

After a four year break, Heather’s much anticipated return to Australia will see her in a whole new light, performing old tracks and fresh new material for the very first time.

Tickets for these shows go on sale on Monday, 4th at 9am AEST from heatherpeace.com
